As a Behavior Health Nursing Aides heres a bigpicture view of what youll do:
- Care for patients with mental and behavior illness
- Help with daily activities such as bathing toileting dressing grooming hygiene nail/skin care eating and nutritional intake
- Assist with ambulation transfers and range of motion exercises
- Check vitals measure intake/output monitor blood glucose and document any changes
- Implement assigned parts of client individualized treatment and behavior management plans
- Observe patient and notify supervisor of issues requiring a change in care medication or medical equipment
- Ensures safety and security of clients
A few musthaves for Behavior Health Nursing Aides:
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- CNA certification preferred but not required
- Experience working with mental health patients
- Valid state issued ID
- CPR certification
- Covid19 and Flu vaccination card
- Compassionate nature good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
