Job Description
Job Title: Medical Assistant
Department: Site Operations
Reports To: Site Manager
Location: Long Beach Research Institute
Status: Nonexempt (hourly)
Compensation: $17 20
Contract Dates:September 16 December 16
Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Medical Assistant to contract during vaccine season. This position will be responsible for conducting patient visits carefully documenting medical history vital signs PatientReported Outcomes and other essential tasks for smooth clinical trial procedure. Ideal candidates will have experience in clinical environments with a current Medical Assistant certification.
Essential Duties:
- Collect patient demographics medical history and concomitant medications
- Obtain Informed Consent from trial participants
- Collect vital signs
- Perform ECGs
- Administer PatientReported Outcome assessments
- Prepare and administer study medication
- Enter data and maintain documents
Qualifications:
- Current Medical Assistant certification
- Previous experience as a clinical technician or in other related fields
- Willing to draw blood work in lab and handle administrative tasks in the front office
