Job Description
The mission for this position is to perform maintenance and repair farm equipment (i.e. tractors implements pickups semis service trucks etc. as required to keep equipment functional to meet needs of farming operations.
Responsibilities
- Equipment maintenance & repairDiagnose problems code execute necessary repairs; change fluids & filters as needed when time for service; install GPS components; change tracks when change in size is required; hook up implements; test and setup.
- Service and repair construction equipment forklifts spreaders sprayers harvesters diesel engines and all types of farm equipment/implements.
- Willing and able to work as a farm equipment operator when necessary.
- Maintain parts inventory.
- Provide routine information to and solicits situation specific information company wide from employees managers and external relationships and general inquiries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Any combination of education experience and training that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities to handle the position.
- Three to five years of verifiable experience repairing and maintaining farm implements and tractors; valid drivers license required with the ability to obtain a Farm Endorsement and drive company vehicles.
- Experienced welder.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work as farm equipment operator when necessary.
