Essence of the job:
Our client is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Quantity Surveyor with a National Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying. Applicants should have appropriate experience across a range of projects with a mediumtoo large construction company. Candidates should be selfstarting and highly motivated with the ability to operate efficiently in a fastpaced environment. The best candidates will be detailed and organized team players with demonstrated delivery in high pressure situations. The main purpose of this position is to prepare cost estimates and plans audit projects manage construction revenue and costs and administer construction contracts.
Qualification:
National Diploma/ Degree (Quantity Surveying)
At least five years related experience in Civil Engineering environment
Experience using CCS essential.
Minimum Requirements:
At least five years related experience in Civil Engineering environment.
Contract Law and insurances.
Quantity surveying.
Basic Financial reporting and cash management.
Construction methods and outputs programming and scheduling.
SHEQ legislation and application.
Basic IR and relevant labour legislation.
Key attributes of the role: attention to detail deadline driven and ability to work autonomously.
Proven ability to manage a team of junior employees.
Able to handle conflict and able to negotiate.
