Summary:

Assists a licensed pharmacist as directed in filling valid prescriptions includes data entry preparation packaging and labeling of both hazardous and nonhazardous pharmaceuticals. Performs essential functions related to nonsterile pharmaceutical compounding quality assurance and compliance and medication inventory management under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and complies with all federal and New York State laws rules and regulations as promulgated by the New York State Board of Pharmacy.

Salary range is $41399 $50884 which includes a comprehensive benefits package. The listed pay range reflects the range of potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications skills and experience.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

Certification Requirement
1. National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or ExCPT from National Healthcareer Association (NHA) required.
2. Registered Pharmacy Technician with NYS Office of the Professions State Education Department.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or High School Equivalency diploma.

NOTE:
1. Incumbents must maintain the required New York State registration and national certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) as a condition of continued employment.
2. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
