Lighthouse Lab Services partners withlaboratories and hospitals around the US in search of boardcertified PhDs MDs and DOs to fulfill their Clinical Lab Director Medical Lab Director and Pathologist needs. These laboratories and hospitals arecertified or accredited by COLA CLIA or CAPand focus on a variety of specialties ranging from chemistry and toxicology to microbiology and molecular genetics. Some of these opportunities are remote while others are onsite or offer a hybrid model.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES (these will vary based on each unique opportunity):

• Application Processing: Complete process and maintain CLIA COLA CAP and/or state specific applications and documentation.

• Equipment Recommendations: Recommend appropriate equipment and supplies for the specific testing.

• Laboratory Buildout and Design: Work in conjunction with instrument manufacturers to plan layout and design on the laboratory space as needed for future changes/additions to the lab.

• Validation: Assist oversee and guide any new validations.

• SOPs: Develop SOPs as needed.

• Recruiting: Assist in recruiting screening and interviewing potential stafflevel employees for the laboratory.

• Test Menu: Provides guidance regarding current and proposed test menus.

• Inspection Preparation: Prepare the laboratory and staff for upcoming inspections and surveys.

• Industry Knowledge: Keep uptodate on industry changes in billing coding reimbursements testing best practices and innovations.

• Billing: Provide proformas or other documentation as needed estimating expected revenues based on reimbursement startups costs and ongoing testing.

• Consulting: Provide ongoing consultation to address regulatory and technical issues.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Qualified candidates willpossess a doctoral degree (PhD/MD/DO) andcurrently hold or be eligible to obtain one of the below listed board certifications.Possession of New York Certificates of Qualification and any additional Lab Directorstate licensure is a plus.

For PhDs:

• ABB American Board of Bioanalysis

• ABCC American Board of Clinical Chemistry in Chemistry or Molecular Diagnostics

• ABFT American Board of Forensic Toxicology

• ABMGG (ABMG) American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics

• ABMLI American Board of Medical Laboratory Immunology

• ABMM American Board of Medical Microbiology

• ACHI (ABHI) American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics

• NRCC National Registry of Certified Chemists

For MDs/DOs:

• ABP American Board of Pathology certification in any primary or subspecialty category including Anatomic Clinical Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine Chemical CytopathologyDermatopathology Forensic Hematopathology Medical Microbiology Molecular Genetic Neuropathology or Pediatric Pathology

• Current possession or eligibility to obtain an unrestricted State Medical License (dependent upon location)
