What Youll Do

Responsible for processing time labor and payroll data using Lewis Tree processes and procedures ensuring ontime accurate employee paychecks.

  • Payroll Workflow: Maintains knowledge and compliance of federal state and local payroll regulations.
    • Responsible for preparation of certified payrolls
    • Prepares monthly union reporting and payments
    • Processes extra compensation payments offcycle check requests pay adjustments and stop payments
  • Payroll Processing: Responsible for calculating processing and reporting various employee payroll taxes and deductions including garnishments union dues and benefits.
    • Responsible for importing and exporting various files within multiple systems.
    • Prepares analyzes and disperses various reports on a regular basis.
    • Prepares monthly journal entries and account reconciliations and assists with audits.
    • Completes required statistical reports for various agencies
    • Communicates with the human resource department and other departments to obtain data to facilitate the completion of time and labor information retroactive payments and PTO and vacation payouts.
    • Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Customer Support: Serves as the pointofservice customer contact for employees by providing information and resolving issues associated with the processing of payroll data.
  • Administers and provides detailed report for 401K Compliance.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping payroll information confidential.

What Youll Need

  • Associates degree or equivalent training or experience
  • TwoFive years experience processing multistate payroll
  • Experience in ERP and HRIS platforms (JDEdwards Ultimate Software preferred)
  • High level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel
  • FPC or CPP certification preferred
