Fluence is seeking a product owner for gridscale energy storage systems who will work crossfunctionally with hardware and software engineering and product management teams to understand and execute the Fluence OS and grid application development plan. The candidate will demonstrate a continued understanding of energy storage systems commissioning and services and grid code requirements to provide differentiated offerings in the market that are uniquely valuable to our customers.
As a product owner you will translate the product requirements into actionable epics and user stories for the software development agile team(s) have the ability to plan and manage the software development tasks from start to finish and ensure that the product meets the customers needs and delivers value. In addition you will be detailoriented and have excellent organizational leadership and communication skills. Other responsibilities include supporting the agile team managing the backlog and optimizing the value of the product.
You will be responsible for the following:
- Work closely with the agile team to ensure the team is building the right product in the most efficient way possible.
- Work collaboratively with the product management team to meet applicable standards including the associated cost and cycle time.
- Analyze internal and external customer requirements on project opportunities and the product roadmap.
- Create epics and user stories out of requirements. Manage and prioritize Agile teams backlog. Accept or reject the work for release.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of the technical commercial documentation related to the product in coordination with the different stakeholders.
- Support the product management and sales team in delivering technical presentations and demos to customers.
- Lead the of multigeneration product plans by summarizing and prioritizing emerging customer / market requirements and gathering competitive intelligence.
What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence
- Engineering degree in Electrical or Power Systems computer science or proven experience in software product ownership
- 2 year of product owner experience in Agile process
- Strong system view of integrated system and process
- Good knowledge of grid following and grid forming applications or a proven record of learning and grasping new domains quickly
- Knowledge of grid interconnections agreements is a plus
- Ability to solve complex technical problems and communicate results
- Ability to review contracts and technical requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
