Product ManagerOil & Gas (Sales focused)
Purpose: We are seeking a salesfocused dynamic Product Manager with a strong sales acumen to drive the success of our products in the market. This role blends product strategy and sales ensuring our offerings meet customer needs while achieving business growth. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams including sales marketing and product development to maximize product adoption and revenue.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Sales Enablement & Strategy: Work closely with the product development and sales/marketing teams to develop gotomarket strategies messaging and positioning that drive revenue.
- Product Positioning & Value Proposition: Translate product features into compelling value propositions for customers and sales teams.
- Customer Engagement: Gather customer feedback directly and from distributors to analyze market trends and to refine product offerings that increase sales.
- Sales Training & Support: Develop training materials and presentations to educate sales teams on product features benefits and competitive differentiators.
- Revenue Growth: Collaborate with leadership and distributorship(s) to set sales targets and create actionable plans to achieve them.
- Competitive Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends and competitors to refine product offerings and positioning.
- CrossFunctional Collaboration: Work with marketing engineering and sales teams to ensure seamless product launches and adoption.
- Facilitating product demos and training sessions for distributors
- Managing distributor relationships and providing ongoing support and training
- Define product marketing communication objectives and strategies for effective promotion.
- Provide management with regular reports on product performance and market trends.
Qualifications and Education
- 5 years of experience in product sales and/or product management with sales responsibilities in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong understanding of sales processes customer needs and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication presentation and negotiation skills.
- Ability to translate technical product details into compelling sales messaging.
- Experience working with CRM tools (Salesforce HubSpot etc. is a plus.
- Bachelors degree in business marketing or a related field.
Preferred assets:
- Experience in the Oil & Gas industry or environmental solutions.
- Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks meet goals and deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Selfstarter with entrepreneurial spirit and passion for project management.
