Job Description
Are you fluent in English and Spanish
This is a weekend position; applicants must be available Friday Saturday and Sunday 8am to 5pm with a one hour lunch.
- Greet and welcome all visitors to the shelter
- Answer phones
- Transfer/redirect calls to appropriate personnel
- Accurately and professionally answer questions from the public
- Assist visitors with signin process
- Keep front desk area presentable and organized
- Data entry and records updates
- Receive and distribute mail and packages
- Assist with special events and outreach
- Work with and guide volunteer receptionists
- English and Spanish fluency required; additional proficiency in Haitian Creole fluency strongly preferred
- Outgoing positive demeanor
- Excellent customer service skills in person and on the telephone
- Basic computer and tablet use skill
- Ability to learn new software; Familiarity with Gmail Microsoft Office programs and Shelterluv software preferred
- Organizational skills
- Patience
- $15.00/hr
