The Lunch Monitor aids the teaching staff by enforcing the rules and policies governing the lunchroom and monitoring student behavior during lunch periods within the school day. Monitors shall exercise prudence in carrying out their assigned duties and shall report any difficulties or unusual matters to the school director or designee. Must be capable of prolonged standing walking and bending to perform lunch monitor duties.

Contribute positively to the professional missionfocused sense of community with all school constituents.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicates with students and school staff in a positive and professional manner utilizing appropriate customer service and interpersonal skills.
Manages students during meal period (behavior problems will be referred to the school director or designee).
Circulates throughout the lunchroom or in areas where meals are served and/or eaten assisting students who need assistance.
Reports accidents events and/or other incidents to the campus director or designee.
Assists with the cleanliness of the lunchroom. Must sanitize lunch tables chairs and floors after meal period.
Assists in lunchroom dismissal in an orderly manner at the scheduled time.
Helps students develop and observe proper meal habits and etiquette.
Respond to emergency situations such as injuries or food allergies in a proactive manner.
Participates in training sessions meetings and scheduled cleaning days as requested.
Maintains consistent punctual and regular attendance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bilingual English/French preferred.
Ability to interact and communicate with students and staff members in a respectful efficient effective and cooperative manner
Ability to work harmoniously with and provide a wide range of assistance to professional staff students and parents
Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with diverse populations.
