The Opportunity
We are seeking aResearch Associate to join our team in San Diego. Thishandson position is responsible for designing synthesizing and analyzingantibody oligonucleotide conjugates. The ideal candidate will have biotech/pharma experience inmedicinal chemistry bioconjugation and nucleic acid therapeutics. The candidate is expected to be a strong team playerwho enjoys scientific discovery and can communicate and collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment.
What You Will Contribute
- Design synthesis purificationand analysis of oligonucleotide conjugates.
- of biophysical/biochemical assays to evaluate target binding.
- Effectively collaborate with internal partners to define and meet project goals/timelines.
- Preparation and communication of research results in both oral and written formats.
What We Seek
- BS or MS in chemistry biochemistry chemical engineering or related discipline. Previous experience in biotech/pharma is desirable.
- Experience in the design and preparation of oligonucleotide conjugates.
- Handson experience in the purification and analytical methods for proteins peptides and oligonucleotides (e.g. RPHPLC SEC HIC SAX SDSPAGE).
- Demonstrated knowledge of biochemical/biophysical assays for characterization of binding affinity is preferred (e.g. FP ELISA FRET BLI).
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Proven ability to conduct selfdirected research and to work effectively in a dynamic environment with a diverse team of coworkers.
- Solid written and oral communication skills enthusiasm integrity selfmotivation strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are necessary.
What We Will Provide to You:
- The base salary range for this role is $36.54/hr. $40.38/hr. The final compensation will be commensurate with relevant experience skillset internal equity and market factors.
