Job Description

DIVISION BROKING LEADER COMMERCIAL LINES

Position Summary
Reporting to the Division Leader our Division Broking Leaders demonstrate strong ability to influence and negotiate with trading partners to achieve optimal outcomes for clients and prospective clients.

In this role you will lead and coordinate placement activities on new and renewal business in support of business retention and production goals.

Required Skills and Experience
  • To be successful in this key role you must be knowledgeable of applicable coverages carrier guidelines alternative funding arrangements underwriting and legislative changes.
  • Demonstrated / proven ability to build and grow relationships with clients carrier representatives and fellow World associates.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years industry experience in risk management and insurance brokerage placement underwriting and carrier relationship management (or a combination).
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years leading highperforming successful teams setting goals driving accountability and measuring / rewarding performance.
  • Must have a complete understanding of a national insurance brokers sales service and placement platforms.
  • You will need to draw upon your broad and diverse knowledge of the global insurance industry marketplace including: Middle market and large account segments All property and casualty products Excess and Surplus Lines marketplace and how to access London and Bermuda market facilities.
  • Property and Casualty program designs including guaranteed cost/first dollar deductible/retention structures quota share & layered property programs liability towers risk management and alternative risk.

Responsibilities
  • You will develop and articulate a comprehensive understanding of Worlds scope of expertise structure distribution strategy and value proposition.
  • You will coordinate placement strategy with World Client Advisers and Account Executives to achieve optimal outcomes for clients and prospective clients.
  • You will lead a competitive coverage placement process and demonstrate strong negotiation skills to achieve appropriate cost coverage and capacity targets for clients and prospective clients.
  • You will maintain productive and responsive relationships with underwriting managers practice leaders and business development managers of Worlds key Trading Partners.
  • You will participate as requested in client and prospective client introductory strategic planning and proposal meetings and represent World in a professional and responsive manner.
  • You will promote utilization of strategic Trading Partners critical to maintaining secure and dependable relationships for World to generate optimal outcomes for clients and prospective clients.
  • You will collaborate with National Placement resources as necessary to ensure clients and prospective clients coverage needs are comprehensively addressed.
  • You will manage the business model in accordance with corporate KPIs.

  • Productively and with clear vision lead a team of diverse placement professionals who possess varying levels of expertise and skill in distant locations to achieve defined goals and objectives.
  • Serve as primary internal source of information concerning market trends pricing practices and other underwriting policies.
  • Assist in developing Placement Practice policies and procedures to support our commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Maintain focus on Worldauthorized workflow and standard operating procedures to support the delivery of a consistent service model across the World enterprise.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in all Microsoft office productsincludingMidlevel expertise with excel

Professional Licenses / Certifications
  • Preferred insurance designation such as CPCU CIC or ARM
  • Licensed Property & Casualty insurance producer in resident state

Education
  • 4year college degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional designation
