JOB CAD Technician
LOCATION Nottinghamshire
TERM Permanent
SALARY 30000 to 40000 per annum (plus benefits)
Premier Engineering is working with a wellestablished engineering company based in Nottinghamshire that is looking to hire a CAD Technician. Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor is essential for this role.
The CAD Technician will ideally have the following attributes:
- A degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering Design Engineering or a related field (BEng MEng HND HNC etc..
- Strong experience in Autodesk Inventor for 3D modelling and technical drawings.
- Experience in wood or upholstery
- Previous experience in a CAD Technician Design Engineer or similar role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of mechanical components sheet metal and fabrication processes.
- Ability to interpret and produce detailed technical drawings and BOMs.
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to liaise with design manufacturing and project teams.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
The CAD Technician role will involve:
- Creating 3D models and technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
- Producing accurate engineering documentation including BOMs and assembly drawings.
- Assisting design and engineering teams in developing new and existing products.
- Ensuring designs comply with industry standards and manufacturing capabilities.
- Collaborating with engineers and production teams to resolve design challenges.
- Modifying and updating existing CAD models as required.
- Supporting the continuous improvement of design and documentation processes.
