Job Description
SVI Trucks builds custom fire apparatus including rescue trucks hazmat units command vehicles fire engines tanker trucks law enforcement vehicles and more. Every truck that leaves the factory is truly oneof akind thanks to innovative engineering and meticulous construction.
Countless departments across the country have trusted SVI Refurb with their emergency vehicle and fire apparatus refurbishment needs most adding 10 to 15 years of life to most any vehicle. The result A likenew apparatus at a fraction of the cost. Add vehicle remounts truck repairs and apparatus inspections plus 50 years in custom apparatus manufacturing and SVI Refurb is the industrys trusted partner in vehicle maintenance and fleet replacement.
We are looking for an energetic selfstarting assembler for our Truck Refurbishing division. If you are interested in building and restoring fire trucks that help save lives please apply.
Essential Functions:
Operate basic hand and power tools.
Accurately read and interpret a measuring tape.
Installation and assembly of truck components like bumpers doors trays and shelves.
Follow written assembly instructions drawings and blueprints. With knowledge of fraction to decimal conversions.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Fabrication experience with aluminum and/or steel
Some knowledge of heavy/medium duty Truck layout and builds.
Able to obtain a Forklift operators license.
Able to contribute in a fast paced/team atmosphere.
Able to problem solve.
Learn and apply valuable skills and gain useful knowledge.
Pass a preemployment drug screen physical agility test and criminal background check.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must be able to climb ladders.
Must be able to follow directions and pay attention to detail.
We will train the right candidate.
Additional skills and experience that will be considered:
At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Residential/Commercial construction experience.
Previous experience in customization of both automotive and heavyduty vehicles regarding the body chassis or cab interior.
Understanding of low and highpressure air systems.
Knowledge or understanding of water pump plumbing.
Experience with automotive 12V wiring.
Understanding of RV or residential plumbing.
Experience with 120/240V electrical wiring.
RV repair or manufacturing.
Aluminum Welding
Experienced with TIG welding and use of pneumatic tools

Compensation:$18.50$23.00/Hour DOE
Job Type:Fulltime Hourly NonExempt MondayFriday 7:00am3:30pm 6:00am3:30pm and possible Saturday overtime)
