Job Description
Dental Hygienist
A Dental Hygienist is needed in Great Barrington MA.

Responsibilities
- Conduct medical and dental histories for all patients
- Perform intraoral and extraoral exams including screenings for periodontal disease
- Take dental radiographs as needed
- Provide prophylaxis cleaning polishing of teeth and root scaling and planing
- Offer patient education on oral hygiene periodontal disease and preventative care
- Work closely with dentists to develop and implement treatment plans
- Make necessary referrals to specialists when appropriate
- Maintain accurate patient records in Dentrix and other required software
- Adhere to all safety and compliance protocols
- Assist in administrative and reception duties as needed including answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Support dental center security and emergency response when necessary
Requirements
- Valid Massachusetts Dental Hygienist license
- Associates degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited school
- Current CPR certification
- Proficiency in Dentrix and other dental software
- Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity
- Ability to provide compassionate care and patient education
- Physical stamina to meet the demands of a fastpaced dental clinic
