Job Description
RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a skilled Forklift Mechanic to join our clients team in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to take on the responsibility of maintaining and repairing a fleet of forklifts and other material handling equipment in a busy warehouse environment. If you have a passion for mechanics and a strong understanding of forklift operations we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of forklifts to ensure they operate efficiently
- Diagnose mechanical electrical and hydraulic issues and perform repairs as needed
- Replace and repair faulty components to minimize downtime
- Document all maintenance and repair work performed
- Order parts and materials from suppliers to support repair work
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience as a Forklift Mechanic
- Strong understanding of mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems
- Effective troubleshooting and problemsolving abilities
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals
- Teamoriented with good communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Salary: negotiable
