Key Responsibilities of the Band 6 Midwife:
- Act as the professional lead for lowrisk women promoting the normal birthing process
- Deliver culturally competent midwifery care
- Monitor maternal and fetal wellbeing in pregnancy
- To promote the uptake and provision of parent education to help parents make an effective and confident transition to parenthood
- Mentor and support junior midwives and student midwives
With options across a variety of maternity units and settings in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Youll be part of an exciting future ahead for the midwifery team!
The Ideal Candidate:
- You must be a Registered Midwife on the NMC Professional Register
- At least 3 years experience working in the UK as a Midwife
- Continued CPD to maintain your ability to practice
