Midwife (Band 6

Location: Smethwick Birmingham

Employment: Permanent (Fulltime or Parttime options)

Key Responsibilities of the Band 6 Midwife:

  • Act as the professional lead for lowrisk women promoting the normal birthing process
  • Deliver culturally competent midwifery care
  • Monitor maternal and fetal wellbeing in pregnancy
  • To promote the uptake and provision of parent education to help parents make an effective and confident transition to parenthood
  • Mentor and support junior midwives and student midwives

With options across a variety of maternity units and settings in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Youll be part of an exciting future ahead for the midwifery team!

The Ideal Candidate:

  • You must be a Registered Midwife on the NMC Professional Register
  • At least 3 years experience working in the UK as a Midwife
  • Continued CPD to maintain your ability to practice
