About Us
Christian Youth Camps Limited (CYC) exists to create opportunities for people to personally encounter the living God through camping conferencing facilities and programs. We sum this up in three words: Breathe Experience Discover.
As a Christian organisation were on a mission to turn the whole camping scene into something super special for our guests. Were not just about the regular business of running a camp; we aim to create moments that change lives!
The flagship of CYCs six venues the Phillip Island Adventure Resort is an expansive facility situated on 80 acres of landscaped grounds in the heart of Cowes. It offers accommodation for over 600 guests featuring airconditioned guest rooms with ensuites and a variety of onsite activities including giant swings swimming pools high and low ropes courses canoeing raft making sand volleyball indoor rock climbing archery and the only Quad Flying Fox in the southern hemisphere!!
The resort is a purpose built complex catering for large bookings and is a popular destination for educational groups community and church groups school camps corporate retreats and holiday camps.
About the Role
We are looking for casual activity instructors who are committed enthusiastic and enjoy working with people in the outdoors. The position is responsible for hosting groups of guests and helping to facilitate their planned activities throughout the duration of their stay.
Key responsibilities:
- Welcoming and hosting guest groups in a friendly enthusiastic and helpful manner
- Acting as an experience and adventure guide for visiting groups
- Providing activity orientation instruction and operation to participating guests
- Ensuring compliance with Safe Operating Procedures Activity Safety Guides and Risk Management Plans
- Performing activity maintenance tasks including preparing activity areas ahead of group session times completing safety checks and documenting any maintenance requirements
- Maintaining valid Level 2 First Aid Life Saving certification and any other relevant Victorian DEECD qualifications as required (training provided)
- Adherence to procedures relating to child protection child safety and mandatory reporting
- Availability of around 2030 hours per week on a flexible roster

Essential requirements:
- A Victorian employee Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
