Toole Design Group in Silver Spring MD is looking to hire an experienced and talented fulltime Project Accountant. Are you intrigued by the shades and nuances of service contracts from a variety of governmental agencies Do you get bored working on the same projects month after month year after year decade after decade Are you detailoriented enough to spot inconsistencies in contracts

A Day in the Life of a Project Accountant
You are at the forefront for the financial management and health of multiple projects. This includes: monitoring project performance by reviewing budgets and forecasting potential overruns creating and maintaining project accounts in the accounting system using established procedures maintaining workinprocess folders and files for all projects setting up and closing out projects in the ERP system assisting project managers with billing issues reconciling receipts and budgets and communicating with the project manager as needed preparing invoices analyses of performance compiling information for internal and external auditors and contributing to staff trainings.
We are targeting a salary range of $72000$82000 for this position.
Work Schedule for a Project Accountant:
This fulltime position typically works a flexible schedule of 40 hours a week. We also provide employees with the flexibility and necessary equipment to work from home Mondays and Fridays. The Silver Spring office of Toole Design is our corporate headquarters. We are conveniently located just outside of Washington DC in downtown Silver Spring close to regional trails and networks on onstreet bike infrastructure two blocks from the Silver Spring Metrorail/MARC Station and bus depot. Our beautiful 8th floor suite offers stunning views of DC and surrounding Montgomery County. The office is easily accessed on foot by bicycle and via transit.

Qualifications of a Project Accountant:
- A bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent relevant experience
- Five to seven years of Project Accounting experience
- Experience assisting in producing accurate and timely financial statements
- Proficiency in Deltek Vantagepoint Vision or other job cost accounting software
- Competency in reading/reviewing contracts
