The Aerospace Welder is responsible for performs Welding operations in compliance with National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Program (NADCAP) standards.
This position is part of the Pall Aerospace Air value stream and will be located onsite in New Port Richey FL. The first shift work schedule is Monday thru Friday 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM and overtime is routine.
This position requires access to exportcontrolled commodities technical data technology software and services. U.S. citizenship U.S. legal permanent resident status protected person status or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization including if required an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
Produce and measure product to ensure compliance to blueprint and work instruction specifications. Setup and operate all equipment for welding operations. Perform tig/spot welding on metal parts. Weld small metal components. Use all measuring equipment (i.e. calipers height stands bubble point machine etc..
Complete all necessary paperwork as required including scorecards hazard recognitions routers and data Follower Tags ATP etc.
Interface with other departments as needed to solve problems and maintain a smooth workflow. Communicate ideas problems and concerns to management. Continuously seeks opportunities to improve processes and procedure and communicates to management. Successfully work with minimal supervision.
The essential requirements of the job include:
High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED) and three 3 of experience performing tig/spot seam torch silver brazing or component welding activities in the Aerospace industry.
Experience having successfully passed a NADCAP audit
Excellent mechanical skills and abilities. Work overtime as assigned
Travel Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Ability to bend lift stand sit and twist for long periods of time (up to 8 or more hours) and required to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Training coworkers on NADCAP standards
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
