Carlow University seeks an experienced and visionary Director Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program to lead and advance the DNP program. The Director will be responsible for the strategic direction academic quality accreditation compliance and overall administration of the DNP program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing leadership advanced practice nursing or healthcare systems with a passion for preparing nurse leaders to impact patient outcomes and healthcare policy. This is a fulltime faculty position that requires the qualifications necessary for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor. Key Responsibilities Program Leadership & Administration Provide visionary leadership to ensure the continued excellence and growth of the DNP program. Develop implement and evaluate the curriculum in alignment with accreditation standards and evolving healthcare needs. Lead efforts in program assessment quality improvement and strategic planning. Ensure compliance with the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and other relevant accreditation standards. Collaborate with university administration and faculty to align the DNP program with institutional goals and Carlow Universitys mission. Faculty & Student Engagement Mentor and support faculty to promote excellence in teaching scholarship and service. Serve as an academic advisor and mentor to DNP students. Foster an inclusive studentcentered learning environment that supports academic success and professional development. Student Recruitment & Enrollment Growth Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain a diverse and highly qualified student body. Collaborate with admissions and marketing teams to promote the DNP program through outreach efforts information sessions and partnerships with healthcare organizations. Engage in networking and professional events to enhance program visibility and build relationships with potential students and employers. Support prospective students throughout the application and admission process. External Partnerships & Community Engagement Develop partnerships with healthcare organizations clinical sites and professional nursing networks. Advocate for and support faculty and student engagement in practice research and policy initiatives. Promote Carlow Universitys Mercy values in healthcare leadership and community service. Teaching & Scholarship Teach in the Graduate Nursing programs and contribute to the broader nursing curriculum as needed. Engage in scholarly activities including research publications and conference presentations. Pursue grants and funding opportunities to support program initiatives and student success. Qualifications: Required: Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or PhD in Nursing (or a closely related field). Eligible for appointment at the Associate Professor rank (tenuretrack) based on academic and professional experience. Active RN license and eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania. Minimum of five 5 years of experience in nursing education at the graduate level. Demonstrated leadership experience in academic or clinical settings. Knowledge of CCNE accreditation standards and regulatory requirements for DNP programs. Strong record of teaching scholarship and service in nursing education. Preferred: Experience in online and hybrid course delivery. National certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). Experience with curriculum development program assessment and accreditation processes. Strong record of grant writing and research in nursing or healthcare leadership.
