Kitchen Supervisor Roles & Responsibilities:
You should be able to delegate tasks to kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner. Also you should be familiar with sanitation regulations. Has the ability to train develop and create a culture for success.
Job Requirements and Areas of Responsibility:
Overall responsibility for the kitchens daily operations.
Liaising with the contracted companies for food orders.
Interviewing and hiring new kitchen staff.
Maintaining /raising the foods profit margins.
Controlling the BOH labor cost.
Monitoring and controlling stock levels.
Ensuring correct stock rotation procedures are followed.
Implementation of health and safety procedures in the kitchen.
Monthly pricing audits using your invoices.
Completing weekly biweekly or monthly inventory.
Completing the business system to organize the restaurants financials.
Completing the purchase log report
Completing inventory sheet Maintaining the menu cost analysis updating pricing quarterly.
Creating the kitchen schedule using forecasted sales projections.
Maintaining food quality and plate presentation standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED
- Previous food service experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office restaurant management software and POS software
- Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
- Excellent management and leadership skills
- Strong communication and problemsolving skills
