Job Title: General Laborer
Location:Manhattan KS
FLSA Status: Hourly/NonExempt

Position Summary:
The Laborer is responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations at a construction site and may operate a variety of hand and power tools. Laborers will help prepare and clean up job sites and perform other duties as directed by the Foreman or Superintendent.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of a laborer are all geared toward maintaining a clean safe and efficient construction site while also supporting the overall project. The list of duties and responsibilities for a laborer on any given day may include the following:
- Perform various physical duties as assigned
- Maintain all safety standards
- Moves secures installs builds loads or unloads materials
- Performs some specialized tasks which may require onthe job training.
- Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans.
- Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties.
- Attentive to detail and alert at all times to ensure safety.
- Maintain customer relations by acting in a professional courteous manner.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. Position Requirements and Experience:
- Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma is an asset
- Ability to safely operate various vehicles and equipment
- Previous experience especially in construction preferred
Physical Demands:
- Regularly lift objects up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders reach squat push and pull objects.
- Ability to use various hand tools throughout the day.
- Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all temperatures and weather.
