Duties And Responsibilities
The duties below are representative of the duties of the classification and are not intended to cover all of the duties performed by the incumbent(s) of any particular position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the scope of work is similar related or a logical assignment to this classification. 1. Teach classes as assigned in Phlebotomy. 2. Consult with students during regularly scheduled office hours. 3. Maintain expertise in current teaching and discipline technologies. 4. Perform other duties as required by contract collective bargaining agreement and general institutional needs. The College offers day and evening classes.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of any Bachelors degree AND two years of phlebotomy experience OR an Associate degree AND six years of phlebotomy experience OR the equivalent (see below) A Certified Phlebotomy Technician with at least three years experience in phlebotomy within the previous five years A current California Phlebotomy Certification CPT (in good standing) Demonstrated cultural competence sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability gender identity sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students faculty and staff
