Job Description

We are looking to appoint aGroup Estates Manager. This role is based at Hesley Hall but you will be expected to travel around the different sites within Hesley Group.

The Group Estates Managewill act as the day to day leader of the E&F department and will be responsible for the fabric and quality of our environments including capital development programs repairs audits and risk assessments for all homes across the Group.

The role primarily involvesmanaging the Domestic Maintenance and Grounds and Mechanical and Electrical sub departments toensure homes and buildings are refurbished to a high standard whilst managing contractors in a safe and controlled way adhering to Contractor (Design and Management) Management 2015 Regulations. You will managethe Maintenance and Grounds and Domestic Managers the role will ensure our environments are safe and fit for purpose. You will alsobe the lead fire safety person with the department and ensure Fire Risk Assessments and regular checks are completed and will be the lead Legionella person within the department and ensure the Legionella Risk Assessments and regular checks are completed.

About You

The successful candidate must have knowledge relating to provision of property services capital expenditure building services and the writing of specifications. You will also know thekey aspects of management practice including principles of effective supervision and appraisal and relevant aspects of employment legislation including recruitment and selection.Knowledge of relevant aspects of health and safety legislation and regulations antidiscrimination and equal opportunities legislation and financial management including management of large budgets is also essential for this role.

This role involves identifying you own training needs to attend required training and maintain continuous personal development. You will be expected to communicate effectivelyverbally and in writing and to understand and produce materials of a professional nature in line with required deadlines. You willensure policies and procedures are translated into practice through effective management practice. You willmanage in a supportive and motivational manner to ensure high appropriate and attainable standards are achieved providing coaching and training as appropriate. You mustwork effectively as part of the senior team responsible for meeting services and the Groups objectives andplan develop monitor evaluate and audit systems and procedures to ensure continuous development of all aspects of the services core service.
You must be educated to degree level or equivalent in Estates Management or other relevant subject and hold afull clean UK driving licence.
Is desirable for you to hold a IOSH Managing Safely RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors)Legionella Responsible Person orCertificate in Fire Risk Assessment.
You should also have experience with managing budgets effectivelyworking within care facilities management and/or estate managementandmanaging teams across multiple sites.
