Job Description
- Assist with loading and unloading trailers ensuring proper handling of goods and materials
- Maintain a clean and organized dock area including regular sweeping trash removal and tidying
- Conduct routine inspections of dock equipment and report any issues or malfunctions
- Participate in general cleaning and upkeep of buildings and facilities on the property
- Help with minor repairs and painting projects as directed by supervisors
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment
- Collaborate with team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively
- Provide excellent customer service to visitors and clients when interacting on the property
Qualifications :
Qualified candidates for the Summer Student Dock/Property Maintenance Worker position should possess the following:
- Valid G class drivers license
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Proficiency in computer skills and relevant software applications
- Experience operating a forklift or willingness to learn
- Strong commitment to punctuality and reliability
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of pool maintenance procedures or willingness to learn
- Painting skills and attention to detail
- Basic construction and repair abilities
- Thorough understanding of cleaning techniques and products
- Familiarity with building maintenance practices
Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high standards of property upkeep and customer service.
