Job Description
Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport seek a FellowshipTrained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to add to the team. Must be eligible for active Louisiana licensure and BC/BE. This position would be for an Assistant or Associate Position. We have a rapidly growing and strong Orthopedics Department in both the academic and community settings.
Highlights of the Position:
- Level I Trauma Center with more than 3300 patients per year
- 1441 ortho trauma cases
- 14 Faculty Members (Spine Trauma Sports Medicine Hand General) 20 Residents 12 APPs
- Programs include working with Shriners Hospital for Children & Overton Brooks Veteran Administration Medical Center
- High existing volumes
- Collegial and multidisciplinary team of physicians and nurses to collaborate on a customized plan of care for each patient.
This position:
- Combines teaching and patient care
- Emphasizes teaching and provides vitally important leadership and guidance to medical students and residents
