Job Description
Overview
Eagle Metalcraft in East Syracuse is seeking to hire aCNC Machinistto join their team!
The setup operation and maintenance of various production equipment and processes related to our ongoing CNC machining business. Equipment and processes include Matsuura 3Axis) vertical and horizontal machining centers Haas Mills Bridgeport milling machines precision saws and lathes. Candidates with a strong mechanical aptitude and good math skills or similar experiences would be considered for training.
Responsibilities
- Utilize effective and safe problemsolving skills to produce accurate CNC machined parts to exact drawing specifications and tolerances.
- The position requires reading and understanding both written and verbal instructions along with the ability to read and understand blue prints as required.
- Program CNC machines and operate assigned equipment and processes to produce parts on schedule while maintaining quality and accuracy to customer specifications.
- The use of precision measuring tools and equipment such as CMM calipers micrometers depth gauges and height gauges.
- The candidate will work with other production employees and take on various tasks as required.
- The candidate will report directly to the Plant Manager.

Qualifications
- Ability to apply basic math skills to measure and calculate various drawing dimensions.
- Ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Physically able to stand and/or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to read write and communicate in English.
- High School degree or equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude or similar experience is a plus.
