Job Description
Exercise considerable judgment to plan and perform a variety of difficult steamfitting work where general methods are available.
Responsibilities
Plan layout and install new and replacement steam and chilled water systems. Install boilers thread or weld piping for heating steam reduction stations fire protection systems etc. Maintain and repair existing systems. Inspect install and repair a variety of pneumatic electrical and combination valves (most electrical work done by others). Chemically treat water for all systems as instructed. Install steam and chilled water pipe insulation. Plan and perform preventive maintenance duties such as lubricating pumps. May be required to perform duties of HVAC Mechanic.
