What Youll Do
- Develop and enhance New Relics API Gateway which processes all GraphQL API requests using Java.
- Engage in the design development and enhancement of our observability platforms core features delivering scalable and reliable solutions.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams in designing robust scalable and efficient systems that cater to the needs of a growing customer base.
- Conduct regular research and experimentation with emerging technologies to enhance our platforms capabilities.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions by working closely with product managers designers and other stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks applying optimizations to ensure platform stability and availability.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning improvement and innovation within the engineering team sharing knowledge and fostering professional growth.
Your Opportunity
- Bachelors degree in software development engineering or a related technical field.
- 2 years of experience as a software engineer working with JAVA.
- Good understanding of JAVA frameworks and related design patterns.
- Experience in designing developing and maintaining largescale software systems
- Good understanding of scalable distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with API ecosystems including security performance and transport requirements.
- Passion for exploring new technologies and finding creative solutions to complex problems.
- Excellent collaboration abilities with the capability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Keep uptodate with technologies like AWS/Azure/GCP serverless Docker and Kubernetes.
Bonus Points
- Handson knowledge of Ruby and Elixir with an understanding of their respective ecosystems.
- Contribution to opensource projects.
- Experience working with or building GraphQL schemas.
- Experience building and maintaining highthroughput pipelines and distributed systems.
- Experience working on observability products particularly in the SaaS vendor space.
