Job Description

Lighthouse Therapy LLC is a familyowned veteranowned and locally operated business dedicated to providing highquality speech therapy services to students.

We are seeking a dedicated SpeechLanguage Pathologist (SLP) to join our schoolbased therapy team. This position follows the academic school calendar providing services to students with speech and language needs. The SLP will work closely with educators families and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication development.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise SpeechLanguage Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).

  • Ensure SLPAs follow treatment plans and adhere to professional and ethical guidelines.

  • Provide guidance mentorship and performance evaluations for SLPAs.

  • Maintain documentation and compliance with supervision requirements set by ASHA and state licensing boards.

  • Develop and implement therapy plans for students with speech language and communication disorders.

  • Conduct individual and small group therapy sessions.

  • Support students with AAC devices articulation fluency and expressive/receptive language needs.

  • Collect data on student progress and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Collaborate with teachers special education staff and parents to support student success.

  • Participate in IEP meetings when necessary.

  • Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines for schoolbased therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Experience supervising and managing SpeechLanguage Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) (preferred).

  • Knowledge of state regulations and ASHA guidelines for SLPA supervision.

  • Masters degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology.

  • Fully ASHAcertified SLP.

  • Eligible to obtain Tennessee state SLP license before start date.

  • Experience working in school settings (preferred).

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators and families.

  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet the diverse needs of students.
