Position: ESY Substitute Special Education Teacher
Reports To:Director of Student Programs
Qualifications:
- Special Education Certification.
- Meet all certification requirements for Oklahoma including teaching area endorsement.
- Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Position Goals:To provide Special Education Services for students who meet the criteria forExtended School Year.
Responsibilities:
- Follows the procedures practices and guidelines outlined by the school district State and Federal laws intended to keep students healthy and safe.
- Provide services as outlined on the students Individualized Education Plan.
- Prepares materials and equipment prior to the start of the class.
- Plans consistently to address student diverse learning needs.
- Plans with other members of the team.
- Establishes a classroom climate where students are engaged and expectations are clear.
- Engages students in active learning and uses a variety of strategies to support learning.
- Prepares Progress Report at the end of ESY and enters all information relative to the student on EdPlan.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Terms of Employment:June 2 2025 June 27 2025 (as needed)
