Job Description
About the role:
HLK is growing and we are looking for a Senior Media Strategist to join our team. The Senior Media Strategist serves a critical role in driving media and marketing researching planning stewarding and reporting on our assigned book of work.
The position is open to St. Louis MO or Chicago IL residents only.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with AccountPlanning teams and any relevant subject matter experts to drive marketing efforts
- Serves as the main media contact with clients on assigned accounts
- Manages all elements of assigned media efforts from start to finish
- Works with internal and external partners to develop media strategy
- Creates presents and sells through media recommendations to clients at varying levels
- Researches and vets media vendors as well as negotiates media proposals as needed
- Partners with subject matter experts on media recommendations
- Works closely with activation team to ensure buys are implemented correctly
- Manages media budgets and any applicable reallocations
- Works with the Analytics team to develop appropriate measurement plans and reporting
- Monitors performance and makes necessary optimizations throughout the life of a campaign in coordination with activation team
- Stays on top of all media industry trends and shares learnings and insights with internal team and clients
- Consistently strives to find new innovative and unique media strategies and tactics that break through clutter and deliver significant return on investment
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of media planning/strategy experience with specific deep experience in planning and understanding of digital and traditional channels
- Ability to strategically assess opportunities quickly and make datadriven decisions resulting in tangible improvements in performance
- Flexibility and ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment
- A strong communicator with effective writing and presenting skills a positive attitude and a strong desire to get things done
- A proactive progressive media expert who is a digital innovator
- Ability to be both strategic and creative
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Must be a team player
