Job Description

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Responsible for a variety of tasks which are required to assist in meeting internal and external customer needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Perform alignments
  • Diagnose and knowledge to replace parts
  • Perform and diagnose mechanical issues
  • Change and balance tires
  • Diagnose and repair tires (plug and patch)
  • Performs and records daily safety checks of equipment as required
  • Loads and unloads containers pallets or materials and products safely on/off trucks trailers or railcars
  • Change oil and perform other ordered maintenance on vehicles
  • Communicate effectively with customers
  • Responsible for inventory control
  • Develop knowledge of tire size and parts necessary for proper repair
  • Maintains an appropriate inventory of parts necessary for repairs and maintenance
  • Complete work orders
  • Test drive vehicles
  • Deliver repaired vehicles to customers
  • Answer phones and handle internal and external customer inquiries
  • Work effectively with coworkers
  • Responsible for the housekeeping of the shop and company vehicles
  • Successfully adhere to safety rules and company policies and procedures. EHS OSHA EPA and DOT policies and procedures must be adhered to at all times.
  • All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Requires a high school diploma GED or related experience equivalent. One year of experience in the automotive repair industry is preferred. Valid Drivers License is required.
