Job Description
Position Title:Construction Laborer
Work Schedule:varies
Location:Prairie Band LLC (Holton KS)
Primary Accountabilities:
The General Construction Laborer position includes preparing job sites ensuring safe work conditions transporting materials using power tools and other equipment building temporary structures and job site cleanup.
Major Duties:
- Prepare job sites for construction activities.
- Ensure safe working conditions are always maintained.
- Transport materials to and from job sites.
- Use power tools and other equipment necessary for construction tasks.
- Build temporary structures as needed for construction projects.
- Maintain cleanliness and order at the job site performing cleanup activities as required.
- Demonstrate stamina

- Teamwork abilities
- Must be able to interact professionally with customers clients and other team members
- Must have good communication skills
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be willing to work extended and varied shifts as required.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be willing and able to work in all seasons and conditions throughout the year.
- Ability to lift items that are 50 lbs. and team lift 100 lbs.
- May be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold).
- Must be able to climb stairs lift. bend kneel frequently and stand for long periods.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces work with heights.
- Must be able to pass preemployment tests (drug screen Physical Capabilities Profile assessment and background check).
Indian Preference Exercised:
Prairie Band LLC is subject to Title 22: Employment Code of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. In accordance with Title 22 this position is designated as a TIER 1 position. Preference will be given to individuals to the extent required pursuant to Section 2224(B).
