Job Description
The City of Wilmington is seeking part time seasonal laborers for maintenance of the City Parks. Under immediate supervision the Laborer repairs maintains and cleans park grounds rightsofway and related structures.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- No more than 4 points on driving report.
- Must be able to pass a preemployment Drug Screen & Background Check.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
- Sweeps and/or shovels or picksup rubbish and debris from park grounds; performs leaf collections mows grass trim trees and eats sidewalks and rightofways; participates in snow removal and ice control.
- Performs maintenance of park and trails; washes and cleans vehicles and other street equipment.
- Attends meetings and serves on committees as directed; attends training and seminars as directed.
- Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to essential functions.
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
The starting base salary will be consistent with the Citys approved pay plan; this positions starting salary is $12.00 per hour.
