Job Description
Areas of Responsibility:
1. Architectural Design: Participate and contribute to brainstorming sessions to develop potential solutions for business needs or problems. Evaluate existing systems and identify areas for improvement. Design endtoend solutions that meet scalability performance and maintainability requirements.
2. Technical Expertise: Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends. Make informed decisions regarding system architecture frameworks and tools. Create and maintain architectural documentation. Support all RBC Corporate mandated security and compliance requirements.
3. Integration and Implementation: Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions. Oversee the implementation process ensuring alignment with best practices. Regularly update stakeholders on system architecture project developments.
4. Process Improvements: Identify opportunities for process enhancements within the organization. Document testing requirements and ensure thorough testing of solutions.
5. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
Collaborate with business leaders project managers and other stakeholders.
Knowledge Skills Experience:
Bachelors degree in information management / technology or related fields (computer science information science software engineering etc..
o 2 5 years related experience.
Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
Fullstack developer with emphasis on React UI design and implementation.
Demonstrated knowledge in one or more of the following would be beneficial:
o SAP
o Microsoft .NET and C#
o Visual Basic
o PowerShell
o Python
o Java
o JavaScript
Experience with Microsoft Office 365 products (PowerPoint Excel Word SharePoint).
Selfstarter strong team player and collaborator.
Physical Demands:
Extended periods of sitting and/or standing at a workstation
Speaking in person and over the telephone or Teams online and the ability to hear comprehend and document detailed information from others.
Ability to type reach and grasp.
Intermittent standing and walking within the office environment.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing for extended periods over the phone and in person.
Occasional lifting or carrying objects weighing less than 10 lbs.
Essential Job Functions:
Support the process of collecting and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
Provide training and support to employees in IT systems and equipment.
Assist Business Process Owners (BPOs) with gathering business requirements and facilitating the translation of those requirements into functional and technical design documents.
Supporting the installation management maintenance and optimization of IT solutions and services.
Consult with relevant stakeholders across the business to ensure compliance with RBC IT enterprise architecture.
Provide leadership to 3rd party and internal IT resources guiding and monitoring task completion and sharing expert knowledge and advice.
Provide technical recommendations based on objective evaluation of IT solutions.
Other tasks/duties/projects as assigned.
Travel as required to support plantbased solutions.
Attendance at work is a necessary function of the role.
