The Division of HematologyOncology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the tenure track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students graduate students residents and fellows as well as advanced practice providers pharmacists and their trainees.
Clinical responsibilities may include care of patients with solid tumors hematological malignancies or patients with nonmalignant hematology disorders as appropriate for the applicants background and experience.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include research that could be related to solid tumors hematological malignancies nonmalignant hematology disorders immunotherapy or other scientific areas broadly relevant to Hematology/Oncology. The successful candidate will have an established record of independent funding highimpact publications and a strong national/international reputation. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
Penn invites applicants with an investigative basic research focus within the disciplines of hematology or medical oncology. The successful candidates will demonstrate a productive track record during postdoctoral research training with an ability to perform collaborative interdisciplinary science. Successful applicants will be expected to further develop an innovative independent research program that will attract and maintain extramural funding from governmental agencies private foundations and industry. Additional responsibilities will include clinical activity and teaching with the PENN provider network as well as participation as an active member of PENN graduate programs based on his/her research focus. Strong management and leadership skills are expected with the capacity to lead institutional initiatives in research oversight or related tasks.
