Ferguson Animal Hospital is a wellrespected small animal General Practice located in Bristol Tennessee. Our three doctor team is excited to welcome a fourth full or parttime doctor as we expand into our adjacent wellness facility! Our team is passionate about providing excellent mentorship maintaining high standards of care and showing how deeply we value nurturing the human animal bond.
About Ferguson
- Team & Mentorship
- Strong Medical and Administrative Leadership: Our Medical Director Dr. Ferguson has over 20 years of experience and is an exceptional clinician and teacher. Our Practice Manager Seth is a talented detailoriented leader with 7 years of technician experience prior to transitioning to his managerial role. Both are passionate about maintaining a positive working environment.
- Collaborative Doctor Team: Dr. Calvin and Dr. Hubbard joined Ferguson Animal Hospital as new graduates and are now entering their 4th year with our team. Both are eager for the opportunity to pass along their knowledge by joining Dr. Ferguson in providing mentorship to a new teammate.
- Strong Support Staff with Low Turnover: Our technician and client services teams are highly skilled and caring. The technician teams tenure ranges from 3 years to over 15 years. We incorporate lowstress handling techniques to create a calmer safer environment and improve patient outcomes. Average doctor: technician ratio is 1:3.
- Caseload & Clientele
- Diverse caseload including but not limited to soft tissue surgery internal medicine basic oncology dentistry basic wellness care urgent care advanced diagnostic workups
- Our clientele care for their pets deeply and most are very considerate and compliant. They value our teams expertise. Ferguson Animal Hospital was voted Best of Bristol by the Bristol community.
- Facilities & Equipment
- Primary hospital 4521 sq foot primary facility with 5 exam rooms and potential to add a 6th. Separate grieving room.
- Adjacent Wellness clinic 2 large exam rooms with potential to expand to 4 total
- Equipment highlights include full IDEXX lab suite with Sedivue brand new dental radiology unit on the way ultrasound doppler BP equipment cautery unit quality fluid and syringe pumps therapeutic laser. We use Avimark and are paperless.

- Outdoor activities: Bristol is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. With easy access to the Appalachian Mountains and nearby lakes the area offers hiking fishing boating and camping. The South Holston River is popular for fly fishing while the nearby Appalachian Trail provides scenic hiking.

Our Ideal Candidate
- Excited to manage a diverse caseload that includes small animal General Practice Urgent Care and occasional Emergency cases
- Willing to rotate shifts through our main facility and adjacent wellnessonly clinic

Compensation & Benefits
- Fulltime base salary range: 110130k. Commensurate with experience level and skillset.
- Additional opportunities to earn: Highly competitive monthly no negative accrual bonus plan. Bonus plan is not mandatory (for candidates preferring straight salary). Equity opportunity available starting early 2025.
- Relocation/commitment bonus up to $10000.
