Job Description
PartnerStaffingis currently working with our client seekinga highly motivatedand experienced Environmental Biologist Project Manager to join their leadershipteam. The successful candidate will oversee and manage environmental projectsensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards. This roleinvolves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams conducting fieldworkpreparing reports and providing expert guidance on environmental issues.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple environmental projects from inception tocompletion.
- Develop project plans timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with clients stakeholders and team members to ensureproject objectives are met.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensuresuccessful completion.
- Conduct fieldwork including ecological assessments wildlife surveysand habitat evaluations.
- Collect analyze and interpret environmental data.
- Prepare detailed reports including Environmental Impact Assessments(EIAs) and Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
- Ensure all projects comply with local provincial and federalenvironmental regulations and standards.
- Supervise and mentor junior biologists and environmental technicians.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Biology Ecology Environmental Science or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental project management.
- Professional designation (e.g. P.Biol. RPBio) is an asset.
- Proven experience in conducting environmental assessments and fieldwork.
- Excellent project management skills including budgeting and scheduling.
