Assessment Analyst Macdill Air Force Base Tampa FL The Assessment Analyst assists the United States Marine Corps Forces Central Command (MARCENT) and subordinate commands by serving within the plans and policy directorate task area. The positions primary mission involves assisting and advising the COMUSMARCENT in jointlevel and servicelevel planning deliberate planning crisis action planning force deployment planning and requirements development validation and prioritization. The Assessment Analysis directly supports plans and policy under the MARCENT G5 including executing operational analyses and assessments to ensure the efficient of MARCENT OAMS tasks. The Assessment Analysis will perform the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide Operations and Assessment Analysis services for the G5.
- Assign personnel that possess full understanding and experience USMC structure capabilities the Table of Organization and Equipment Change Request (TOECR) process the Global Force Management (GFM) processes and implementation of service and joint policy/doctrine.
- Advise the Assistant Chief of Staff G5 and work in general support of the Commander and staff as appropriate.
- Execute operational analyses and assessments in all activities involved with the performance of component planning and operations.
- Participate in all CENTCOM and Service directed assessments to include the CENTCOM Theater Campaign Plan the Service Campaign Plan and other Military Operating Environment (MOE) related assessments.
- Develop General Officer level analysis of force laydown operations training and component reorganization.
- Collect analyze review and recommend lessons learned.
- Review all forward deployed forces Service 60day Assessments provide recommended feedback and draft endorsements for twostar level review.
- Attend MARCENT working groups boards cells actions groups and provide recommendations to improve staff processes and products and provide an AfterAction Report.
EDUCATION - HS diploma or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE - Minimum ten years of military experience.
- Experience executing operational analyses and assessments related to military planning force deployment or operational performance.
- Experience in collecting analyzing and recommending lessons learned from operational activities or assessments.
- Experience in drafting highlevel analysis reports and endorsements for senior military review.
CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCIES Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities - Understanding of USMC structure capabilities and processes including TOECR GFM and joint policy/doctrine implementation.
- Expertise in analyzing and assessing military operations force deployments and organizational changes.
- Ability to collect analyze and interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Advanced proficiency with groupware applications (SharePoint MS Teams) and the Microsoft Office suite (Word Power Point Excel etc. desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills desired.
WORKING CONDITIONS - Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus.
SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS - Travel is required.
- Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid drivers license current automobile insurance and a driving record that is acceptable to the companys auto insurance provider.
SECURITY CLEARANCE - A Secret clearance is required for this position.
