Job Description

Grants Pass School District No. 7 is now accepting applications for the following position for theschool year:

Location: Grants Pass High School

Position: Custodian Graveyard

Hours: 8 hours per day

Calendar: 260 days per year (JulyJune)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
  2. Knowledge of modern cleaning methods and the use and care of cleaning materials and equipment.
  3. Experience in janitorial work and demonstrated aptitude for successfully fulfilling assigned responsibilities.
  4. Use cleaning materials and equipment with skill efficiency and safety; perform heavy physical labor; understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
  5. Knowledge and experience in grounds keeping.
  6. Maintain cooperative relationships with fellow employees and ability to get along well with students and the public.
  7. General Job Description at the District Administration Office.
  8. Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.
  • Preemployment physical and drug screen required. Prior toa final job offer being extendedto an applicantthe applicant must show proof of successful completion of a PreEmployment Functional Exam.
  • Upon selection employees will be required to pay for the following: $12.50 fingerprinting fee and $70 ODE processing fee.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • $17.61$25.44 per hour. Dependent on approved accepted experience/education.
    • Differential pay for the third shift (graveyard) shall be an additional 5 of the employees regular hourly rate.
  • Annual COLA pay increase (as negotiated with Oregon Association of Classified Employees)
  • Annual step pay increase awarded to eligible employees
  • 12 paid holidays per year
  • 2 personal days per year
  • 12 paid sick leave days per year
  • Up to 20 vacation days per year calculated by years of service with the District
  • Bereavement leave as per bargaining agreement
  • Up to $1522 per month districtpaid contribution toward fullfamily medical dental and vision insurance
  • $4251 per year insurance optout stipend for employees who demonstrate other health insurance coverage under a qualifying employer sponsored group medical plan (more than 6hour employees) $3825.90 46hour employees)
  • 6 employee paid contribution towards Oregon Public Employees Retirement System
  • Longevity Service Stipend after 10 years of employment $800$1400
