Role Mechanical Project Engineer
Salaryper annum (Dependent on experience please advise what youre looking for)
Type Permanent
Location West Sussex
My client design and manufacture a range of products for the oil gas and petrochemical sectors and they are looking to take on a Project Engineer on a permanent basis in the West Sussex area.
The Project Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Be Degree/ HND/ HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar (Or qualified by experiencewith strong Project Engineering skills having worked in a technical environment)
- 2 years or more of industry experience would be desirable working in a similar project role
- Have the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Very good attention to detail
- Confident in your own Engineering knowledge and skills
- Knowledge of CAD software and also Microsoft Office programmes (MS Excel/ MS Project) would be an advantage
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well alone as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to travel as required as a large part of the role to customer sites both in the UK and abroad
The Project Engineer role will involve:
- Working within the companies Projects Department under a Project Manager
- Supporting important company contracts (engineering material supply and quality control)
- Working on the coordination and of projects
- Working closely with site management teams
- Reviewing subcontractor bids including the technical aspects
- Reviewing drawings
- Drafting purchase order specifications for equipment and material purchase
- Travel in both the UK and Worldwide as the job requires to meet clients
