Job Description
CNC Horizontal Milling Machinist 3rd Shift)
Location: Job Shop in a Manufacturing Plant
Shift: 3rd Shift 10 PM 6 AM)
Compensation: OffShift Premium of $1.50 Paid Breaks and Lunch (two 15min breaks one 20min lunch)
Responsibilities:
Operate CNC horizontal milling machines for low volume/high mix machining
Use M&G codes to command CNC equipment (cutting and noncutting functions)
Work with quality measurement tools: micrometers thread gages bore gages calipers height gages
Utilize a Tool Matrix System with 120 tools capacity
Handle multiaxis machining for complex parts
Mastercam experience preferred; knowledge of Fusion Gibbs Solid Edge etc. is transferable
Conduct machine shop calculations and make edits/offset adjustments to programs
Qualifications:
3 years of CNC horizontal milling experience (manufacturing or machining)
High School Diploma or GED required
Proficient with M&G codes and blueprint reading
Ability to independently set up machinery and validate compliance with measurement tools
Machine Tool Technology degree preferred but not required
Basic computer skills required
