Job Title: PPM Block Mason Spruce Pine NC

Job Summary:

MOR PPM Inc. seeks Block Masons for a project in Spruce Pine NC. Must have proper knowledge and experience in Masonry. Laying blocks to build office structures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carves out and builds structures and surfaces with bricks or concrete blocks.
• Places concrete blocks on mortar bed.
• Cuts or saws bricks to fit around windows and doors.
• Measures distances to lay out work.
• Mixes mortar and grout to be used to lay brick.
• Spreads mortar onto block surface with a trowel.
• Examines brickwork to ensure structure is built correctly.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Experience:

5 years experience with working in a Masonry role.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of bricklaying techniques and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Thorough understanding of math and geometry.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:

• Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
• May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
• Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
• Must have full range of motion consistent with age
• Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
• Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees alarms and other jobrelated noises
• Visual acuity depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
• Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
