Position: Utility Construction Technician 2
Industry: Operational Services Stormwater
Location:Roanoke VA
Compensation: $20.00 $25.00 per hour depending on experience
Travel is required for this position. We provide lodging expenses $59per diem and the use of a company vehicle. 85%travel per month is typical.

What youll do:
- Repair and construct vital stormwater infrastructure underground utilities concrete structures and stormwater basins across the central states.
- Operate handheld tools power tools and heavy construction equipment including skid loaders excavators and dozers.
- Embrace the opportunity to travel during the week as needed exploring different locations while making a significant impact.
- Learn and develop pioneering construction and regulatory compliance techniques that will set you apart in our field.
- Document field observations to contribute to project success and continuous improvement.

What were looking for:
- Education: GED High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of construction experience.
- Travel: Ability to travel Monday through Friday with travel required 85 of the time.
- Driving: Valid drivers license and a safe driving record.
- Skills: Proficient in the operation of construction equipment power tools and concrete hand tools.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of plans and specs. Knowledge of stormwater & sediment and erosion control.
- Expertise: Prior experience with repair and construction of stormwater infrastructure concrete structures rebar and concrete finishing underground piping and detention/retention basins is a plus.
- Safety and Compliance: Comprehensive understanding of OSHA safety practices and comfortable using pickups and equipment trailers while following DOT requirements.
