What youll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pickup truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

• Lead and set the course of Energy System OnBoard Diagnostic (OBD) development for all of Scouts rugged offroad electric and PHEV vehicles with responsibility for high voltage battery charging thermal systems and 12V energy delivery.
• Utilize your experience with OBD regulations such as J1968 and J1979 to provide guidance and mentorship to the team.
• Establish an OBD roadmap for Energy Systems to ensure robust customer service and OBD compliance.
• Work with System Engineers to define and agree upon OBD .
• Work closely with hardware and software engineering teams to integrate OBD efforts seamlessly into the Energy Systems architecture.
• Generate and maintain Energy Systems OBD content within the Vector .cdd format.
• Maintain OBD requirements within Scout LMS tools (Codebeamer)
• Guide the development of the Energy Systems OBD processes and tools.
• Develop and manage Energy Systems OBD DVP(s)
• Participate in calibration development trips as needed.

Location & Travel Expectations:

• This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi Michigan.
• The responsibilities of this role require 34 days of attendance in office with inperson meetings and events regularly.
• Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the companyfrom time to time.

• Bachelors or masters degree in computer science electrical mechanical or automotive engineering or a related field.
• 7 years of proven experience in OBD engineering with a focus on highvoltage battery systems AC/DC charging and electric propulsion systems.
• Expertise in calibration tools and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols such as CAN LIN and FlexRay.
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Strong knowledge of battery systems power electronics mechanical electrical and vehicle systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Pay Transparency

This is a fulltime exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidates skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range $140000.00 $160000.00
