Job Description
Assists pharmacists and administrative staff inthe provision of pharmaceutical care services. Responsible for participation inpharmacy operations medication distribution inventory control Omnicellusage and maintenance of personal technical competency.
Technical skills required include expertise in Omnicelluse and medication preparation. Additionally provides exemplary customerservice contributes to the efficient operation and productivity of thePharmacy Department and displays the interest and motivation to achieveexcellence in pharmacy practice in the institutional setting.
Essential job functions include:
Distribution Responsibility
- Utilizespharmacy software and hardware systems to optimally provide medications forsatellite campus
- Performs Omnicell pharmacy functions
- Ensuresintegrity and compliance of unit medication rooms as needed
Operational Responsibility
- Maintainsconfidentiality of patient and departmental information
- Provides positivesupportive and courteous communications to patients families visitors andhospital personnel at all times
Inventory Responsibility
- Ensures thatdrugs and supplies are available at the satellite campus by maintainingappropriate inventories
- Participates in Omnicell inventory management
TechnicalGrowth Responsibility
- Identifiesown learning needs by seeking assistance from pharmacist and administrativeteam
- Documents maintenance of technical skills appropriate to pharmacytechnician

Education:Highschool graduate
License:MAPharmacy Technician Registration required Certified Pharmacy Technicianpreferred
Experience:Previousexperience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital setting preferred
Work Schedule:Variablehours possibly including weekends and holidays
All employees must possess basic computer skills to use avariety of electronic or online systems for communication clinical andadministrative purposes.
