Job Description
This is a FT position with benefits and 401K.
2nd Shift Hours: 3:00p 11:00p
OT is sometimes available.
- Determines time cycle to produce required size and finish of parts being lapped. Works to tolerances as to light band.
- Monitors lapping machine for condition and lap plate flatness. Alerts supervisor or machine conditioner when adjustments are required.
- Hand polishes during machine operation when required.
- Degreases parts and cleans degreasing tank as required.
- Performs Statistical Process Control (SPC) when required
- May be required to operate more than one machine simultaneously.
- Works form factory work orders production route tickets written or verbal instructions.
- Makes proper job and time reports for timekeeping.
- Keeps machine and work area clean and orderly.
- Additional duties and responsibilities may vary based upon individual branch requirements.
Qualifications :
EHS REQUIREMENTS:
- Additional duties and responsibilities will vary based upon departmental needs.
- Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the Companys goals.
- Lifting guidelines in accordance with the Manual Lifting Guidelines noted in the Safety Handbook.
- Follow all environmental requirements consistent with supporting the companys environmental performance goals.
- Complete and actively participate in all other EHS training requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires high school education or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret prints and technical drawings and work with fractions decimals and/or metrics.
- 2 months to 1 year previous lapping experience plus. 1 to 3 years onthejob training.
- The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined.
- Willing to train a person who wants to learn and has the right attitude.
Salary Range: $39520 $59280 USD
